“…We don’t forget the mistakes of some, and gladly forgive those of others…”

"...I swear to uphold the constitution of the United States....."

“…I swear to uphold the constitution of the United States…..”  (yeah….sure).

“Don’t judge me by my past, because I don’t live there anymore.”  This phrase has been around many years, and it well describes a problem that society suffers….. We don’t forget the mistakes of some, and gladly forgive those of others.  Take Clinton, for an example. He should have been tarred and feathered and run out of town in shame. …but today…he walks on water.  His answer: “I did it because I could.” Then there’s Hillary….”what difference does it make…they’re dead!”  Saved again by the blind media.  And then you have Pete Rose, and other athletes, who are barred forever from their sport.  Political Star… Gary Hart dared the media too prove his shortcomings, and was ruined forever. Then Congressman Gary Condit and the Chandra Levy affair, she’s dead as was his political career.  JFK and Teddy, who could do no wrong, while doing everything wrong.  Senator John Edwards … remember…. Another ruined political career.  And old Barney Frank who ran a prostitution ring from his own house…. Free as a bird.  Anthony Weiner and Eliot Spitzer will never hold office again.  Why does Clarence Thomas get off after being accused of sexual harassment, and Herman Cain, also accused, had to withdraw from the Presidential race in 2012.  So…. Where’s the equality?  Why does one get off… and the other walk free?  My guess is that the American Voter just doesn’t give a rip, as to who is “running their country” and keeps re-electing Tax Evaders, Drug Users, and John’s…. over and over.  We deserve what we elect!  We glorify winning athletes, and popular Folly’wooder’s.  What are we thinking…. Or not thinking? But, when all the cards are played… we are accountable for ourselves, what we do, and how we treat others.  We are accountable for our VOTES.  When we reward the bad, and punish the good….we are accountable.  When we elect someone with no character… they will eventually destroy what’s good.  As in marriage; without the traits of faithfulness, honesty and unselfishness; so it is true with our elected leaders.  We must have good honest leaders if we are to live in a national community that will produce peace and harmony with fairness to all.  The Bible is clear on the lack of faithfulness, as shown in Luke 16:10: “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.” …Blessings… cjlb…9/30/14.
