We all own part of a Kingdom. “Truly I say unto you,” …. A King has given each of us part of His Kingdom, and we are to Shepherd our share of the Kingdom. We can do as we wish, but He has charged us with running our share of the Kingdom, much the same as in the corporate environment. If we were a Division CEO; then we’re the Boss of that Division; so it is in God’s Kingdom…we’re Boss.
We must be good stewards of His business. We must treat our subjects (employees) all fairly, our Customers (co-stewards)…fair as well. We should take care of those who cannot take care of themselves. We must be feeding the poor, the homeless, the sick, and yes…dying.
We have many opportunities throughout the day, to WORK THE KINGDOM. We can smile often…passing our smile on to those who have nothing to smile about. We can say yes (when we prefer no), price our products fairly, rather than gouging. We can hug, rather than shrug… give rather than take. We can be helpers, rather than be “hurters.”
Because we are made in the Image of the King; and He has given us part of His Kingdom; we should rule as He would rule. If we fail in our assignment; then He will take our share of the Kingdom from us…giving it to the others.
We must not miss an opportunity to run His business, just as He would. We are told in John 13:33-35 – “A new Commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
We don’t have to be preachers…we can be ourselves, because people will see God in us… by the way we live, the way we love… and the way we treat others.
