“…We don’t really need a ‘back-up camera’… if we were to do everything ‘just right’… the first time…”

Back-up Camera:  My current vehicle, the first one ever, for me… has a “back-up camera.”  WOW… what a wonderful invention.  I’m sure, the ‘back-up camera’ is saving lives, every day, and if we really ‘paid attention,’ then very likely, it would save us from many incidents of disaster.

I wish that life had a ‘back-up-camera.’ If it did, then… we could see the effect of what we’ve done, or about to do… before we actually did it.  Wouldn’t that be something great?  If we had that special skill set… allowing us to know the exact effect of our actions… then we mightn’t do some of the crazy things we humans are subject to doing.  But… we don’t really need a “back-up camera”… if we were to do everything “just right”… the first time.

I imagine that there are some number of people who wish they had a ‘back-up-camera’ or reverse feature on the recent national events….but the reality is… just that….reality!

What, then, is just right?  Does that mean that everything is PERFECTLY done?  Yes, that’s exactly what it means… but of course… it’s just not possible to get everything right, without error…. Every time.  Why?  Because we humans are “not perfect,” we therefore are subject to making mistakes, and sometimes… very big mistakes.  So, then, a back-up camera would be like rewinding historical fact, and getting a second chance to “correct” our errors.  It’s just not possible.

But, there is a process by which we humans can reduce the error factor… significantly, such that, we can make better choices in life…..choices that could enhance our own lives, and that of others.  It’s called….obeying the commandments of God.

Here’s a fact… if we were to follow the Commandments of God… then, the very by-product of that action… will position us to make better business decisions, better family decisions, better social decisions…and better spiritual decisions.  Thus, the need for a “back-up camera” would be rendered useless.  It is a lesson that… if followed, could change the entire direction of our own life, and that of the entire world.

Another FACT… None of us are capable of following the 10 Commandments to the “T”… but we can all try.  That is all the God expects from us….to try…and try HARD.  To be CONVERTED.  To Change, to confess, to repent… and to accept and believe in Jesus Christ as Our Lord and Savior.  This, then … would be… all the “back-up camera” that we would ever need.

We are reminded inRomans 10:9But what does it say? “THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART “– that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.…

How’s your ‘back-u-camera’ working?   …Blessings… cjlb…2/15/2017
