“Truly I say unto you,” …. A King has given each of us part of His Kingdom to Shepherd. We can do… just as we wish, but He has charged us with running our share of the Kingdom, much the same as in our daily business responsibilities. If we were a Division CEO…then, We’re the Boss of that Division; so it is in this Kingdom (the earthly kingdom)…we’re the Boss. God has given us “this certain responsibility”… rather we realize it… or not.
So…We must be good stewards of His business. We must treat our subjects (employees) all fairly, our Customers (co-stewards)…fair as well. We should take care of those who cannot take care of themselves… feeding the poor, caring for the homeless, the sick, and the dying. We have many opportunities throughout the day, to WORK THE KINGDOM.
We can smile… say yes (when we prefer to say no), price our commodities fairly… rather than gouging; hugging… rather than slapping; giving… rather than taking; helping, rather than hurting. Because we are made in the Image of the King; and He has given us part of His Kingdom; we should then, and must…rule as He would rule. If we fail to be good stewards… then He… will take our share of the Kingdom from us. And, give our share to those who have the most.
We must not miss an opportunity to run His business, just as He would. John 13:33-35 – “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
We don’t have to be preachers in order to “run His business.” …We can be ourselves, because people will see God in us. The will see God…by the way we live, the way we love one another…how we treat others. Do we treat them, such as we would want to be treated?
Are we “running His Kingdom…such as He would? Or… are we “running from His Kingdom? Are we “standing in for God…or are we playing the part of satan’s helper?”
