This is not rocket science. None of it is ‘that hard’ to do. The PROBLEM with we human-kind…is… we have so many options available to us, on every situation under the sun, and we have been acclimated to ‘go for it.’ So we do.
I know it sounds silly…but, when I go to buy a jar of jelly… just look, there must be 30 different selections available to us. The same with cereal …bread…beer… whiskey… cars. Speaking of cars…there’s about 75 different car manufacturers, and then probably some 10 or 15 different choices within the same manufacturer. It’s just ‘so many’ to CHOOSE from. Too darn many.
It’s the SAME in almost ‘anything and everything.’ Think about it. Choices…and more choices. But, we seem to ‘choose’ a few minutes of ‘hell-raising-fun’ for a life-time of AGONY. And… if we’re not ‘very careful’ …it could be an ETERNITY-in-HELL.
So…we have the ultimate CHOICE. Good vs EVIL. Jesus vs satan.
“We are the disciples of Him, who died for his enemies.” Are you a Christian? If you are, then you are the follower of the One who died for His enemies. Are you not a Christian? Then you are being pursued by the One who died for His enemies—Jesus Christ. In fact, this very moment… if you are reading this article… it is part of His design to overcome the enmity between you and him, and bring yourself to Himself.
Paul WARNS us… Don’t be overcome by evil. Don’t let another person’s evil provoke you to evil thoughts… evil attitudes… or evil deeds. Don’t give them that kind of power over YOU. You don’t have to. Christ is your King. Christ is your leader, your champion, your treasure. Jesus is ‘the BOSS’ in our life… not those who do evil. We answer to God… not man.
Therefore… When someone does evil to you, you should respond, by saying… “You are not my Lord. I will not be controlled by you. I will not have my attitudes…thoughts and actions… dictated by your evilness. Christ is my Lord. Christ dictates my attitudes… my thoughts… and actions.”
Thank you Jesus...for dying on the cross for my sins… so that I might have ‘life-ever-lasting, and eternal peace.’
