SECRET AGENT: Are you a “secret-agent?” Do you do your work under the shield of darkness and intrigue? Or… are you an Agent-Of-Change? What did you do today that would classify you as an Agent-Of-Change? Can you make a list; or is it hidden, secretly, only for you to see? Is “that” the right thing to do?
Are your Leadership skills …Plans-Of-Action…out there…for all to see? Are your subordinates positioned to learn from you, to emulate you, and are they able to excel resulting your leadership? Have you shared your POA with all the appropriate players, or just with a few on a NTK basis? Do you have a “hidden agenda?”
I don’t suggest that “all the cards be shown to all the players,” because each has their own specific assignments, but I do suggest that the POA must be “an open book” to the entire team. Imagine what the results would be if all the players on a “football team” did not have access to the entire “play?” Every player is dependent on the player next to him.
It is very difficult to follow a “good leader” if their POA’s are kept close to the chest. Good Leaders map out their POA for all to see. Everyone should know the game-plan before the game starts.
God does not consider keeping a secret to be sinful in and of itself. There are some things that people should know and some things they should not. God’s concern is how secrets are used, whether to “protect or to hurt.” A LEADER should be “measured” by how he “uses a secret.” Is it for good… or for BAD?
Luke 8:17 – For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light.
