“Will I see you today?” I visited with a very good friend of mine early this morning, while walking the neighborhood, and he shared with me the “feeling” that he had of being visited by Our Lord, in the wee hours of the morning. As he was crawling out of the comfort of his bed…He said he sensed that God was saying to him…
“Will I see you today?”
…Now, I’m asking myself…Will I see God today? I hope to…and when I do, I want my heart, body, and soul to be clean as snow, so that I might receive His Holy Spirit; be an instrument of His peace, and a conduit of His Love. Forgive me Lord…a sinner. It inspired me to write…
Will I see you today?… My Lord said to me.
Will I see you today, as the morning sun rises to light the sea?
Will you come to me dressed in silver and gold?
Or come as you were, when I first made your soul?
Will I see you today, clothed in sin and shame?
Or as you were, when I died for your sins?
I made you in My Image, so you would look as I do,
But you lived as a foreigner….far from my view
The path before you, I planned for your journey,
But you followed, instead, the gods of shame.
Repent now… taste the loss… of your fruit!
But fear not, my child…my Mercy prevails,
The Heavens rejoice… you were lost, but now found.
I will see you today, precious lamb of mine,
For I am your Father… and you are my Son. …
