Who’s the BOSS? Have you ever worked for a company, usually very large, and NEVER knew the “big-boss…” personally? I have, several times, and while I may have met “the Boss” on one or two occasions…. I really didn’t know him…certainly not at any kind of personal level.
So… Wouldn’t you think that it would be difficult… at best… to “follow his leadership,” when you didn’t even know the guy? Yet, that’s what we do, most of us… and we do it, not just because it’s expected, rather, we do it … out of obedience… and willingly. Why? Because we’re a “brown-nosier;” or because we just want to get ahead in our career. Typically, we follow our leaders out of blind trust.
We get a memo from the “home-office,” telling us to do this or that…change the policy structure; reduce inventory; hire new personnel; or fire someone; increase prices… and it goes on and on. Almost all of these directives effect our very livelihood….our career. Failing to follow a directive… likely, will get us fired. We’d be branded a loser; a failure; or non-compatible; effecting our career, family and financial status. And, rightly so.
My question is this: We also… it just happens… a “spiritual BOSS,” ….Our Lord God…Jesus Christ. Yet we routinely ignore His directives. He has given us a “policy-manual” …called THE BIBLE, and we ignore it daily, as if, it carried no consequence. We take His Name in vain. We ignore the Sabbath; we ignore His Commandments; we live life on the edge with no-regard to the present, future, much less to life “ever-lasting.” What are we thinking?
It’s a matter of priorities ….choice vs. consequence. It’s choosing Good vs. Evil. God over satan. Heaven vs. Hell. If we STOP and THINK… it’s not that difficult. Solution: Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, confess and repent of our sins. Amen.
We are told in Malachi 3:5 – “Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those who oppress the hired worker in his wages, the widow and the fatherless, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the Lord of hosts. And, then… in Colossians – 3:23 – The great apostle Paul admonishes believers: “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men … It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.”
Believe this… your life will CHANGE… when you ‘accept’ Jesus Christ as your ‘Big-Boss,” and your Lord and Savior.
