I love numbers. Accounting has been the “back-drop” of by entire adult business life. But… about 30 years into my working life (age 13-43), I started my own business…. And everything changed, and continues to change. Instead of being just an accountant or manager; now I was accountant, cook, father, clean-up guy, landscaper, salesman, manager, husband, banker, counselor, builder, restaurateur, truck-driver, ditch-digger, and developer (not in sequence). I’ve done it all. No, not quite… now I’m a poet, writer, artist, photographer, blogger, preacher, and LOVER of all of God’s children; and lastly, a SERVANT.
One might ask: How did all this happen? Well the “business-owner” portion, speaks for itself. The “igniting” of my spiritual life is another story. I’ve always been a strong “believer,” but I also believed in “keeping it to myself.” It’s not that I didn’t want to share, or care, rather, I’ve always been of the OPINION that all of that “faith-stuff” was one’s own personal business and concern. Certainly not my business. I made no effort to “spread the word of God.
TODAY, it’s DIFFERENT. As I’ve said any number of times; because the Leader of our Bible Study spoke one morning on Matthew 28:19 – “Go ye therefore and preach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” I’ve heard, and read, this passage, and other similar ones many times, but they all…. Just glided over my head. That particular bible verse was talking to the “preaching community,” not to ME. By the Grace of God, and the Blessings of the Holy Spirit, I’ve come to realize that “God was talking to me.”
Now….. finally, I’ve found a way to SERVE the Lord. I’ve found a way to bring Matthew 28:19 to life. I do this by providing BrOOKS-of-WISDOM, in hopes that it might provide positive direction to those wanting to reach their FULL career potential; family excellence; and spiritual maturity.
Ephesians 5:1-33 – Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
And now, Having met most all of my career objectives; I wish now to focus on helping others succeed along their career path; guiding them to recognize their God-given talents. Also, to conduct my life in a manner so others might recognize that God is the Great Leader, Teacher, and Motivator, and the Savior of all mankind.
