“…You’re probably thinking that I’ve run out of “good topics” to write about, but please….. Hold the applause….”

20131025_065836Resentment is a condition that if allowed to go un-checked, will ultimately affect our disposition, well-being, self-respect, and potentially, our career.  Resentment is a form of anger, and one in which we should develop abilities to modify our own behavior, so that we don’t let resentment turn into a full-fledged case of anger.  Resentment is also a form of envy that, if allowed to fester, could also lead to other issues that could affect our career potential. We should try to avoid RESENTMENT and its step-sister….ANGER; as neither contributes to success….rather….. Failure.  Resentment, Anger, and Envy are negative characteristics that can be controlled by focusing on the POSITIVES in the social, family, and spiritual aspects of our life. These characteristics are “dead weight,” such that they will hold us back; influence our disposition; and negate those positive attributes that we cherish. You’re probably thinking that I’ve run out of “good topics” to write about, but please….. Hold the applause.  Show me… just one person, who doesn’t harbor resentment; or anger, or envy.  Show me one person that does not have to contend with these conditions.  It may, even, be YOU. If not today, then tomorrow, or the next.  We all have to deal with these issues.  I could even throw jealousy in the group.  If we allow ourselves to carry resentment, for too long, it will affect us like a decease, the bad blood cells….sort of speaking.  Think of positive things, joyful things, happy things, and develop an immunity to resentment, as it is the process of letting someone else control your happiness and well-being.  It’s allowing someone else to have “the say” in your life.  Proverbs 15: 1,4 tells us:  “A gentle answer quiets anger, but a harsh one stirs it up. Kind words bring life, but cruel words crush your spirit.”   Don’t let anyone steal your happiness.  …Blessings… cjlb…7/14/14
