INTERCESSORY:  A term used most often in prayer settings; meaning to intercede, or petition the Our Father God for the needs of others.  It is also often employed in a business or governmental setting.  It’s not unlike negotiating, petitioning, mediating a dispute.  Our US Secretary of State is knee-deep in such Intercessory processes.  In my own experience, when I could not otherwise “ram an issue through the bureaucratic process,” then I would employ my powers of negotiating, petitioning, and mediating.  We are required, by law, to mediate lawsuits at the lowest level of the court system.  Actually, it’s a “serious art,” developing the technique of utilizing “focused time & skill,” to change the course of an issue, to favor one side or the other, sometimes affecting world events.  We can, and should, learn to the “serious art” of employing our Intercessory skills, even, in our private lives.  Observe your favorite mentor or leader, and judge for yourself.   Blessings.…cjlb….7/28/13
