“….But, of course….there are limits…. And boundaries…. Right.”

"...O'what a beautiful morning....O'what beautifu. day...."

“…O’what a beautiful morning…O’what a beautiful day….”

Typically, I take a “one-mile-walk” most every morning.  Here lately, though, my Bride has been accompanying me.  It’s a great time to be walking in the Fall, with a cool morning breeze…. Especially with someone you’ve loved for 56 years.  I have this tendency to look-downs as I walk, seemingly blotting out the world around me.  Bride says; “Why don’t you look forward, and around, as you walk?”  “You’re missing out on so much to look at;” plus, she says; “It’s better for your physical health, not to mention you mental health and outlook.”   W-O-W…..I’m thinking…..why haven’t I thought of that?  So, then….  it’s not a safe way to be walking, as one could easily walk into a pile of trash, dog mess, or a vehicle parked on the road side.  So, I guess, there’s a lot of good reasons to be looking forward and about.  This line of thinking, I believe, could even apply to other parts of our life…looking forward and about.  Planning ahead, looking about for alternative ways of doing this, or that.  Sometimes, maybe, we just get into a rut… One time, I even changed the Church I attended, because I got tired of see the back of the “same o’heads.” and hearing the same o’sermons.  A little change, here and there, could bring a little spice into one’s life.  But, of course….there are limits…. And boundaries.  Right.  I think God expects us to be “forward thinking.”  He expects us to have a “plan.”  Just as He has for us… a plan of Salvation.  Have you ever thought, by looking forward, and about… that we see God everywhere?  Just think…look at all that He’s created… just for us…. Just for our use and enjoyment.  But too often, we are just “looking down,” and not SEEING, or HEARING Him.  We get too busy…maybe, wrapped up in ourselves, and the daily grind…such, that we forget about HIM.  God is the One from whom all our blessings come — “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights,” (Jas. 1:17).  As the giver of all our blessings, God teaches us to enjoy them while doing good — “Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.  Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share,” (1 Tim. 6:17-18).  So, thanks to my Bride, I have something worthwhile, I pray, to share with you today.   Let me know if you agree.  ….Blessings… cjlb…10/3/14.
