“…But… what I can tell you…and, with some authority….is this…”

I think it’s interesting to listen to all the “babble” going on regarding Marissa Mayer’s tenure at Yahoo, as Yahoo’s CEO, and subsequently…her performance.  The Yahoo Board hired her to do a “specific job,” and by most accounts….she has a POA (plan-of-action) that she is following through… hopefully to its intended conclusion….SUCCESS.   Some Boards give their CEO “plenty of room” to do their thing, and other Boards…want IMMEDIATE RESULTS.   Of course, while immediate results are precious; they’re not realistic.  Marissa Mayer, if nothing else, is a REALIST.  Now…before anyone thinks that I have any degree of “inside information” on MM, or even think or travel in those circles…. then, think again.  I am, only, an interested by-stander.

But… what I can tell you, with some authority….is this:  While Corporate America, with all of their “worldly wisdom,” may be considered the AUTHORITY on PERFORMANCE…they are mere puppets and pawns compared to the Lord God, King of the Universe.  God has assigned a primary task for each of us.  He gives us the “where-with-all” to accomplish said task; and He expects us to PERFORM to His standard.  But….we have a CHOICE.  We can do “it” His way, or “our way.”  It is ONLY when His way and our way…equate to the same…that we achieve VICTORY.  If our “free-choice” differs from His…. Then we are heading for a serious problem.  Believe it or Not.  It is our CHOICE.

Where the similarity ends, between Corporate America and Eternal Salvation is the “time-frame.”  While Corporate America, typically, assigns a TIME-FRAME…and the individual works within those time constraints; God also assigns a TIME-FRAME, but only He knows what that time-frame consists of.  We humans….do not.  So, we MUST always be PREPARED.

We must be striving towards achieving our Spiritual Goals, and TASKS, that God has assigned us…. Before the predetermined time-frame runs out.  Are we working on God’s assignment?  Are we working according to His Will?  The TASK is fairly simple.  We must CONFESS and ATTONE for our SINS, and we MUST acknowledge and accept that Jesus Christ died for our sins; and we must strive to live according to His will.

Also there are “4 things” that God wants us to know: 1) God wants us to know that we are SAVED.   1 John 5:11-12 – “This is the record that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.  He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life.”    2) God wants us to know that we can overcome temptation.   1 Corinthians 10:14 – “There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer [allow] you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.”   3) God wants us to know that He will forgive us when we sin.   1 John 1:9 – “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”   4) God wants us to know that he hears and answers prayers.   In John 16:24, Jesus says – “Until now you have asked nothing in My name: ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.”
