“…Contrary to what the cliché suggests…we DON”T have to pay taxes…”

Image result for caricature of "the devil made me do it."     The DEVIL made me do it. We don’t have to do anything we don’t want… except pay taxes and …die. We’ve all heard these clichés.   Well…. Two out of the three are a “bunch of bull.”

Just to “pass along a thought” ...every decision is a “choice.” God has given us “freedom of choice.” Contrary to what the cliché suggests…we DON”T have to pay taxes. Less than ½ of our society pays taxes. We can choose to “live off of others,” which is the popular trend, and we can go without purchasing… and again, live off of others. We can choose to “not work”…. Another popular trend.  The good’ole USA Government will “take care of everything.”

We can do “anything” that we are physically and mentally capable of doing. We have “no boundaries”… accept ourselves.  The “only catch” is: we MUST live with the CONSENQUENCES…. otherwise…we’re good to go. We can rack up all the SINS (or debt) we care to; or choose to….”do good.”  Or, instead, we can choose to do BAD.  It’s our choice.

The “other cliché” …the devil made me do it….well, it won’t hold water either. We can CHOOSE to obey God, or we choose to ally with satan. Doing the latter…. Is another popular trend. Some are lead to believe that there are “no consequences,” with that decision.   Well, there are consequences “here on earth,” as the prisons are full of people who are having to deal with such consequences. And for those who believe that there are “no consequences” in the HEREAFTER…. Well time will prove that to be the case… or not. I prefer not to take any chances.

Think about it for a moment…. We have “no one” but ourselves to blame for anything we do. Every SIN that is committed… is a CHOICE. If it “were possible to be FORCED” into sin; then of course… it would not be sinful.

Every “good deed” that we are part of…is a choice, as well. We are not FORCED to “do good.” God wants us to be good. He wants us to believe in Him, and to believe that He LOVES us. He even “died on the cross” to show His “eternal love” for us. God “created” mankind, so that He could LOVE us, and that would LOVE Him.

My ‘only point’ here…is this: Everything in life… is a choice… even “life itself.” While we have God to thank for our lives… we are ‘responsible for our life,’ and what we do with it. Believe it, or not, we are STEWARDS of our life. We are “stewards of ourselves.” We can CHOOSE to obey God, and “do well” with what He has given to us, including our own LIFE; or we can choose to disobey God, and “do evil” with what He has given us… and CHOOSE, rather, to align ourselves with satan. We can choose to give satan dominion over us. Whenever we “give in” to other humans, who are “up to no-good,” then we are also “giving satan” a FOOTHOLD. Once satan has “got us,” he doesn’t “give-up” easily. Too often… we are HOOKED. Satan is the “worse kind of DRUG.”

I have a “suggestion” to any of those who entertain a communion with satan…. To SAY this prayer… immediately. “Lord, I am not worthy that thy shouldst come under my roof… only say the word, and my SOUL will be healed.” And, KEEP saying it … over and over…. Until you are “out of danger,” and are in the “loving arms of Jesus Christ.” It works for me… and it will work for you.

This response to satan calls to mind the words that were spoken by the Roman centurion to Jesus when he begged the Lord Jesus to heal his sick servant in Matthew 8:8-13. And then, Jesus saith to him: I will come and heal him. And the centurion, making answer, said: Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldst enter under my roof; but only say the word, and my servant shall be healed. For I also am a man subject to authority, having under me soldiers; and I say to this, Go, and he goeth, and to another Come, and he cometh, and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.   And to the centurion, Jesus said, “Go; be it done for you as you have believed.” And the servant was healed at that very moment.

For this PRAYER to have “any meaning” at all… we MUST BELIEVE that Jesus will HEAL us. …….Blessings…cjlb…9/14/15.
