….I think best when I’m alone……….Solitude is my friend.

100MEDIA$IMAG0159 (2) The EagleSOLITUDE:   Some have said that I am a loner.  And, I believe that I am.  I think best when alone, in a quite place of solitude; which seemingly brings out the best in me.  All of my good ideas come in a place of solitude; many times, even in the middle of the night.  Even Jesus advocated solitude, using it to relax and pray.  Mark 6:31 And he said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.” For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat.  But, remember, too much solitude is not a good thing; in fact, it is not healthy for man’s heart, or soul.  Man was made to have companionship.  If solitude was dominant in the biblical days, Jesus would not have had 12 Apostles, or 1000’s of “followers.”  So it is today.  Knowing how to balance solitude, and its attributes, against being alone, is what separates the wise man from the lonely. . ….cjlb…7/29/13
