“…If one is a TALKER… then he best have something worthwhile to say…”

Image result for caricature of a Joe BidenThere is something in my family blood line that makes me a “talker.”  Now, personally, I don’t think that is the case… but my wife does, as do my children. So, it must be. I know too, that my older brother is a “big talker.” I don’t mean to say that “he talks big.” I mean to say that “he’s a big talker.” He will tell you how to make a watch…instead of just saying what time it is.

Sometimes… I feel that I do the same. I don’t have recollection my Dear Mother as being a “talker,” and my natural Father (I didn’t know him well) seemed to be a man of very “few words.” So, I must have been a victim a generational gap.

The fact is, though, I may talk a lot…. Say a lot of things…. But “everything” seems to be necessary to make my point clear…. This seems to me, to be the case.  Just having this website, may be an indication that they are right, and I am wrong. I talk a lot….!

With all of that said…. If one is a TALKER… then he best have something worthwhile to say.  How about YOU…. Are you a TALKER?  There may be some indication found in “how we talk to others.” Do we speak with KINDNESS….With LOVE ….in PEACE?  Do people LISTEN when we talk?  Do they come back for MORE?

We are told in Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.  Then, in Ephesians 4:29 it says – Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

Let me suggest to you, what “real talk” consists.  It is when we “talk to God.” It is called PRAYING. In having a “serious talk” with God, will, I assure you, open all kinds of doors, bringing you all kinds of benefits.  He will take you where you’ve never dreamed. More than anything else… He offers us “life-ever-lasting.”

We are told in Psalm 91:1-16 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day. …Blessings… cjlb…3/04/15.
