“…If we’re not yet ready for Christmas, then we’re not going to be ready…”

"Father forgive them, for they know not what they do."

“Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.”

If we’re not yet ready for Christmas, then we’re not going to be ready.  Celebrating Christmas is not just gift-giving, eating those big Christmas dinners, or visiting with family and friends; not to mention the exchanging of those hard-sought-after gifts for the special people in your life.  And, it’s not just celebrating the birth of the Christ Child.  Christmas is ALSO the re-birth of our own soul, the acceptance of Christ as the one and only true Savior; the belief that Jesus is the one and only link between us and the Father. Christmas is the renewal of our comittment to God that His Son did not die in vain; that we’re sorry for our sins against the Holy Spirit, and confess and repent of those sins.  Christmas is the process of allowing Jesus to enter our hearts in the form of the Holy Spirit so that He might fulfill His promise of Life Everlasting. Christmas is about our LOVE for one-another, and our LOVE for God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Happy Birthday Jesus. …Blessings..cjlb..12/24/13
