“…If you want to copy the Great Leader, Teacher, and Motivator, then Emulate…”

WE’RE, each of us, are UNIGUELY SPECIAL: Too often we think that we must be like this Leader, or that one; or this person or that. This is All BULL! Be yourself. Trying to be like someone else never works.

If you want to copy the Great Leader, Teacher, and Motivator, then Emulate God, as He made us in his own image; as told to us in Genesis 1:27 – Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.

Also, we are told in ROMANS 12:2 – Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. ROMANS 12:6 – Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith. MATT 7:13 – Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many.

Most of us have met different people who have “stood out” from the crowd, and thought… I wish I could be “more like him.” So, what does this “really mean?” It should mean that there were “certain attributes” about him that you thought were such that you wished you had the SAME ATTRIBUTES which he was displaying. The bad thing about “copying” someone, is that you might “pick up some bad things,” along with the good.

Let’s say that you want to get to know this “admirable fellow” better (say after a seminar), so… you and a few others go out for a few drinks and see him at the same place of business. Next thing you know, you getting “palsy-walsey” with him, and soon are drinking too much, along with him. Or, any number of “other bad habits,” might surface, and also become part of your routine… because you want to be “like him.” BE SMART! If you must…then… copy ONLY that which you think “adds to your own character, skill-sets, and that might enhance your career.

Don’t be fooled. Pick your friends, and acquaintances, very CAREFULLY. Be very careful, and aware, and alert… as to who you wish to emulate. Not all “good people” are good “all the time.” Don’t get suckered in by…good looks, comical personality, or cronyism. Look into “what is HAPPENING,” in your own environment. Even in my own circumstances, I’ve run across people who SIMPLY “have it all together,” but MISSING on their health, or spiritual life, which, come to think of it…. Can be ONE and the SAME. Too often… bad morals will contribute to bad health; or vice-versa.

Remember: There is “always” that little man in your head… cautioning you from the “get-go” to do this, but not that…. Just listen to Him, because that’s the “Holy Spirit” trying to talk to you. Just use your common sense… if a guy seems to be “pretty bright” and is on a fast track to a successful career…. But is also breaking “all the rules” on the way… then “back off,” because that’s satan butting into your life.
