“… Now…if you want to “clean the slate,” and start over…”

20131130_001408Have you ever worked with a fellow who just does not want to conform; he’s always cutting corners; doesn’t want to do things the right way; treats his family and spouse shabbily; and doesn’t get along with his co-workers? And, then, he wonders why he doesn’t get a raise, or promotion. He wonders why people avoid him.  He thinks everyone is against him; and he blames his wife, his boss, and God… for everything.  He doesn’t want, or plan, to accept responsibility for his own actions.  And believe it or not, he thinks he is right about everything…. Everybody else is wrong.  And, his Mother thinks he can do “no-wrong;” and he treats his Mother-in-law… like dirt.  Plus, he wrote the book, entitled: People say I’m narcissi, but I know I’m not.  Do you know anyone like this, or ever work with, or for, someone like this?  We all have, at one time or another.  This guy, I can tell you, without reservation, has a hardened heart.  The bible tells us in Matthew 13:15 – For the heart of this people has become dull, with their ears they scarcely hear, and they have closed their eyes, otherwise they would see with their eyes, hear with their ears, and understand with their heart and return, and I would heal them.   Jeremiah 13:10Useless People, Futility Fools, In Teaching Of Jesus Christ, Impenitence, Warnings Against Bowing To False Gods, Stubbornness, Consequences Of Refusing To Hear – ‘This wicked people, who refuse to listen to My words, who walk in the stubbornness of their hearts and have gone after other gods to serve them and to bow down to them, let them be just like this waistband which is totally worthless.  Now…if you want to “clean the slate,” and start over….. God provides a way to set one’s life straight.   Romans 11:33 Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God!  How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!  When we have lived away from God for a while, and when we return to His open arms, we determine that we are like little children flailing with our spiritual arms and feet, making no progress towards God.  It is in our constant beseeching God to root the sin from us and we, then, go through a cleansing of the heart, (Psalm 51:10) that we will find, step by step, our lives being transformed by the renewing of the mind (Romans 12:1-2) into the likeness of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18).  God is our Chief Cheerleader while on this journey.  And the Spirit will return to be the vital partner in our journey in both real and tangible.  … Blessings …cjlb…10/2/14.
