“…On Dec. 2, 2001, Enron declared bankruptcy. Thousands of people were thrown out of work…”

ABC Corporation is in a “bunch of trouble.” Their CEO and CFO, and other top brass have conspired to “cook-the-books.”  Years back, it was called keeping a “double set of books.” One for the IRS, and one for the “family.” Come to think of it…maybe much the same as ENRON, of the late 1990’s. On Dec. 2, 2001, Enron declared bankruptcy. Thousands of people were thrown out of work, and thousands of investors — including most of the company’s employees — lost billions of dollars as Enron’s shares shrank from a $70 Billion company, with stock values going from $90 to penny levels. Think of the “burden and stress” that so many thousands of people endured, some even death, as a result of that boondoggle.  This same type of history can be applied to many 1000’s of smaller companies, hit by the economic fall-out of 2007.  My own net worth dropped 30% over night, and is still inching towards recovery, seven years later.  Think for a moment… if you could take ALL of the STRESS, PAIN, SIN, ANGER, (and a bunch of other stuff), and pile it on the shoulders of “just one man.”  Who could take such a burden on….and survive.  Likely no-one.  Not even the power and strength of 100, or 1000.  Think for another moment…who could take all of the STRESS, PAIN, SIN, and ANGER for ALL of the sins of the world from the beginning of time…through eternity.  Do you know anyone, any man, who could endure that?  Would it be Superman?   No, it would be the Son of God….  Our Lord Jesus Christ.  He took on the entire burden of all of mankind.  He took on all the sins of the world, from Alpha to Omega.  It is no wonder He said in Mark 14:36 – “Abba, Father,” he said, “Everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”  Jesus knew the tremendous burden of sin that consisted of “all the sins of the world.”  Just to put things into perspective; can one imagine what it would be like to shoot someone with all the bullets that were ever existed, all at one time.  There would be “no evidence” of the man having ever existed. The pain that Jesus endured for us…. It is un-imaginable.  There just are no words to describe what Jesus Christ endured.  Yet, that is what happened.  O’how God must love us… to have sent His only begotten Son, to die on the cross for the sins of all of mankind.  Jesus was saying to His Father…Dad… I know that you can take this pain from me, because everything is possible for you…, but even then, Dad…Let Your will be done.  And it was.  Jesus died on the cross for our sins….so that we might have life everlasting.  Blessings…cjlb.. 10/05/14
