“…Please understand… unless we are ‘at peace’ in all facets of our life…. there will be ‘no peace’ anywhere in our life…”

Peace.  What is the meaning of PEACE?  How does one obtain it?  How does one sustain it?

One of my ‘daily prayers’ is this: Lord, help me be an instrument of Your PEACE, and a conduit of Your LOVE.  It would seem, only logical… that if one is not “in Christ,” meaning… having accepted Christ as their Savior, then… they cannot be at PEACE, and cannot know LOVE.

So, then… it is only logical that we FIRST must … clearly KNOW, and understand… that we are ‘at peace’ with God.  Consider what Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:15-21And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.  So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come.  The old has gone, the new is here!  All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:  that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.  We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.  God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Once we are aligned (reconciled) with Our Lord God, Jesus Christ… we can find PEACE… and only then.  True PEACE will allude us…as long as we are ‘away from God.’

We are told in John 13:34-35 – “A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so also you must love one another.  By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”  If we do not abide by this Commandment… we will not know PEACE.

Matthew 11:28-30….tells us… When you are yoked to Jesus, you are not yoked to restlessness, strife, or worry. PEACE is not the absence of conflict, but the PRESENCE of Jesus.

We can experience LOVE for one another…when we put God, then others… FIRST…we will ‘find PEACE.’  When ‘self is first’… then, Peace is ‘last.’

Peace is not brought about, necessarily, by the absence of something (except satan), but more so… by the presence of something… by the Presence of Our Lord God, Jesus Christ… in our life.  When Christ died on the cross for ‘our sins’… wickedness passed away, and righteousness won, and because righteousness won… peace was born within us.

Once man realizes that ‘he is not the center of the world,’ then…it gives room for peace.  It’s not about ‘us’… it’s all about Him.  David tells us in Psalms 29:11 – The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.  And, again, in Psalms 34:14 – he says…Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. Also, in Isaiah 48:18, we are told… O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! Then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea.

Please understand… unless we are ‘at peace’ in all facets of our life…. there will be ‘no peace’ anywhere in our life.  So, if you at odds at work, at play, in your social life… and at home…then you are at odds with Peace, and you are at odds with God.

… Many Blessings, as you seek PEACE…cjlb…7/23/2017
