“…Some of us…WORSHIP ourselves…think about it whenever you look in the MIRROR… next time…”

What’s the popular saying…….. ‘He threw all CAUTION to the wind?’  Some of us do just that….thinking we are “above” taking precautions. Being precautious is just being SMART.  The process of life, is like taking one’s life in their own hands.  We act like “we are the one in control,” and CAUTION is not necessary.

Remember: We can yield to God… or satan.  God gave us freedom of choice!

In ‘starting out in life’… beginning a new career, marriage, new management, bringing home a ‘new baby’…changing jobs, or even….attending a new, or different Church.   Is it not prudent to ‘be cautious?’

Plan ahead.  Be prepared. Being cautious is absolutely necessary.  The economy dictates precaution; happiness dictates precaution… simple acts of crossing the street, driving on the interstate, or maneuvering life’s obstacles….all require caution… sometimes…EXTREEM CAUTION.  Don’t we often think…‘What was I THINKING?’  What made me do such a STUPID thing?

Sometimes… our close friends, co-workers or…a family members can be a ‘distractor.’ Meaning someone who is ‘throwing you OFF-COURSE,’ or… under the bus.  People to whom you look for support… actually ‘are not supporting you.’  It is said that the ‘fox comes in sheep’s clothing.’

Sometimes… satan solicits help from the most ‘unlikely source’….friends, family, co-workers; even sometimes an ‘unsuspecting minister’… or counselor.   Satan knows no boundaries.

Satan’s helpers are everywhere.  The fellow ‘gossiping’ about you…spreading false rumors… are satan’s helpers.  They may really care for you; may even love you…thinking they are ‘doing you a favor.’  Some of them, maybe all (giving them the benefit of doubt), don’t realize that they’re “being used” by satan.

Remember: Even satan ‘fooled’ Eve… and then Adam, with seemingly… little difficulty.

Well… satan will choose a person weakness.  He doesn’t bother with the STRONG-WILLED guy… he wants the one without ‘strong convictions.’  Eve easily accepted it when the serpent told her that ‘surely you will not die’…when she ate from the ‘tree-of-knowledge.’  Lucifer is a PRO at ‘sucking the life out of the vulnerable’ and downtrodden.   Satan is the ‘worldly god.’

Remember:  ‘Thou shalt not put false gods before Me.’

Well, when we idolize “things, and stuff.”  When we put “things and stuff” before God.  When we put ‘others before God’… we are idolizing those ‘others.’  Like ‘celebrities.’  Some of us are so ‘wrapped up’ with Oprah, Dr. Phil, Dr. Ooozzy, and Ellen… we lose site of The God who created us.

Then… Some of us…WORSHIP ourselves…think about it whenever you look in the MIRROR… next time.

So, with all the said….being CAUTIOUS is not such a bad idea.  Think about who we associate with; or they TYPE of company we work for; a potential marriage partner….ASK: are they ‘lifting us up’… or tearing us down?  When you are around these types of people (satan’s helpers)… Ask yourself… ‘Do I see the ‘image of God’ in them?  Do they even believe in God?

Please…don’t throw CAUTION to the wind.  Be cautious…THINK…GOD.   We are told in Ephesians 5:14-16 – For this reason it says, “Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you.”  Therefore be careful (cautious) how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil.…

Blessings to all, as we seek CAUTION …cjlb…2/25/2018
