I’m sure we’re all a ‘bit doubtful’ from time to time. It’s common amongst us humankind. We doubt our success, such that we think we are ‘poor providers.’ And, if we don’t… then likely, our spouse does. We doubt our friendships, our co-workers… even some family members.
Just about any kind of disappointment can graduate to DOUBT. Our disappointments began to fester… transcending into DOUBT. Serious doubt leading to other serious issues… if allowed to get out of hand. Depression could set in… leading to ‘really serious’ issues. There is a ‘natural tendency’ to worry… becoming more, doubtful. It’s because we are dealing with the ‘unknowns’ of life.
When we have ‘little knowledge’ of a particular subject then it is EASY for DOUBT to settle in. If suddenly, you inherited many millions of dollars, and knew absolutely nothing about investing, and the ‘game of finance,’ you would, naturally, have grave DOUBT. Lack of UNDERSTANDING is the ‘root cause’ of doubt. The solution: Become seriously INFORMED.
Enter the issue of …SALVATION.
Since ‘all of salvation’ has to deal with FAITH… so, if we LACK that faith…then, we lack KNOWLEDGE… then we’re going to be eaten-up with DOUBT, and even …GUILT. The BEST-WAY to rid yourself of DOUBT, is to ‘have knowledge of your subject.’ And, in the case of SALVATION, then, we MUST KNOW the Holy Scripture. Lacking ‘scriptural knowledge’…leads to DOUBT…which leads to the ‘doubting Thomas syndrome.’
There’s ‘no-doubt’ about it.
It’s not PRAYER that saves us… or some self-righteous act… rather, it’s the blood of Jesus Christ…that TAKES AWAY our sins. Galatians 3:26, says: “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” No amount of doubt, or lack of emotion, can keep the soul out of Heaven who solely trusts on the precious blood of Jesus.
Then in Colossians 1:14, “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.” Also, in Isaiah 45:22, “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.”
We are saved because we look to Jesus Christ, who died on the cross, so that we might have life everlasting; thus… our SALVATION is a ‘supernatural act of God.’
…Blessings…as we, because of our FAITH… erasing all DOUBT of Our Salvation. …Cjlb … 3/21/2018.
