There are many of us who are the hardest of workers; the most committed to achievement and success; are the most proficient in what we do in securing our future; the most qualified out of those under consideration; the top in our glass; and are the most willing to sacrifice all of those personal preferences that might interfere with achieving success. We are willing to compromise our family life; give up vacations; compromise our integrity and morals; accept mediocre monetary arrangements; work atrocious hours; and hope that somewhere in this “thankless job” we are noticed by senior management, enough so, that we might be approved for another assignment of equal, or better, conditions and opportunity. And, then, when we fail to make the cut…we wonder why? Who to blame? The Boss just doesn’t like me. I didn’t give-in enough to his demands. And even, I might add, God seems to have abandoned me, as well. …..SAY WHAT? How did God get into this equation? He’s never been there when I needed Him anyway. How did I get into this predicament? God’s to blame! And… we wonder WHY everything goes wrong in our lives. Why are we sick all the time? Why do our families dislike being around us? Why have our friends from school dropped us from their social calendar? Why are the kids making such poor grades? Why are we getting behind in our monthly bills? The better QUESTION is …why don’t we see what is so obvious to everyone….but us? Could it be because we live in “spiritual darkness?” The single most important COMMITMENT that we MUST make is to Our Lord, Jesus Christ. When that point of SURRENDER is made; then we will begin to see the “light.” When we accept Jesus as Our Savior and Lord, when we accept that He died for our sins, and when we CONFESS and repent of our sins; when we turnover our lives to Christ…then, and only then… will we find success, find love, find family, find friends, find a satisfactory future, and achieve the ultimate success…. An eternity with Our Lord God. Matthew 16:25-27 – “For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and WILL THEN REPAY EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS.” …Blessings…cjlb…9/6/14.
