Don’t ruin a good day… TODAY…by dwelling YESTERDAYS… bad day. That happens to us all, on occasion; but honestly… Some of us are pretty good at ignoring bad days. If we can “control” it… then, it’s not adversarial. It may be difficult, but for me… I get a “high” out of the challenge of “righting-a-wrong.” If I cannot positively affect the outcome, regardless of the difficulty, then I do my best to ignore it.
The “problem” comes when we THINK we can control the outcome, but in reality…. We cannot…. and we have trouble accepting that fact; which produces the “bad day.” With all due respect, I’ll go out on a limb, and say…. It’s usually women who “think” they CAN control all the issues, and consequently, the outcome…. Which they cannot. Men, on the other hand; will know QUICKLY, rather or not they can affect the outcome. While there may be some “out there” who do, most men don’t DWELL on the bad days; and if they do, then there is a bigger problem looming in the background. Men, simply put, don’t usually care; and if they do, then there’s that “bigger problem” lurking in the background… the real culprit.
Also, people who don’t have anything better to do… may “pick-an-issue” to death, until they find something to FRET about, and if they try hard enough… they WILL find it. Good days are to be cherished, and appreciated. Good days, don’t just happen, as in “good weather.” Good days, usually, happen because they are part and parcel to “the plans of action.” (The POA).
GOOD-DAY’S happen because “good people” are at the root of the plan; and because “good workers” are WORKING HARD to insure success, thus a good day. They happen because God wants us, all, to be successful, and fulfilled. Proverbs 3:1-4 – “My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man.” Proverbs 2:7 – “He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless.”
Remember this: You can’t start the next chapter in your life, if you keep reading the old one….over and over. Have a “good day.”
