“…..This darn thing makes SINNING so easy and so accessible….”

See God….she made me do it…….

“I am a SINNER and proud of it.”  What?  Don’t hang-up, just yet….hear me out.   Here’s what I mean to say.  I’d rather boast at my status as a sinner, than leave the slightest impression that I’m otherwise (a do-gooder).  In other words: I would rather brag at my being a sinner and know that I am a sinner, than brag at my goodness, and know that I’m, really …. no-good. Does that make sense?  I know….I’m playing with words…but I mainly want to get your attention.  Do I have it?   I am my own worst enemy.  I used to flirt with the devil…….but NO more.  I got too cocky, and instead….got cold-cocked by satan.  Satan knows God so well, that he can imitate God, to such a degree, that we (or, at least, me) too often, confuse the two.  But… think about it this way; it’s easy to tell them apart.  God would NEVER entice us to do WRONG.  Whereas, that’s satan’s full-time job.  He makes “all bad things,” appear to be good.  Remember how the serpent deceived Eve in Genesis 3:3-5 But from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.'” The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die!  “For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”   The (d)evil does not stray from his self-assignment.  He is relentless, and will never give up preying on the weak and broken-hearted.  The VERY TOOL that I use for God’s purpose, is the same tool that satan uses for his purpose…the computer…the internet.  This darn thing makes sinning “so easy and so accessible.”  I remember, as a kid, that I could go to the newsstand to look at PLAYBOY’s centerfold, and trying to do it where others could not see me do it, well, it was a real chore.  Today, with a push of a button, we have available “topics” that would make Hugh Hefner and Larry Flint blush.  As a young boy of 14, I remember attending a “vocational seminar,” asking the younger, and future Cardinal of the Church, Msgr. Joseph Bernardin…Father, I said, “how do we know when something is a sin?”  He responded…  “boys have a built-in thermostat, and when the temperature rises, then you know it’s a sin.”  Sounds simple enough, doesn’t it?  Show me one single person (man or women) who, when denying satan, doesn’t feel better for doing it?  As, to HATE satan, is to LOVE God. …Um…I feel better already. For me; my Faith doesn’t make me perfect, rather, it confirms that my im-perfect-ness is forgiven.  …Blessings…cjlb… 2/6/14
