“…Train yourself to see only the good in things and people….”

My Dear departed brother20130917_173131 was my HERO.  Others had varying opinions… from A to Z.  I chose the high-road.  That is my nature.  I always looked for the good side and focused on that.  Consequently, I have nothing but positive thoughts about him.  I’ll leave the negative thoughts to those whose nature it is…to be negative.  I remember him as a very endearing, giving, loving, persuasive, funny, loyal, detailed, forgiving, and spiritual man.  Enough said.  I have a friend, too, who had a cloud over his small and nimble frame for many years, who probably has relieved more widows of their small inheritances than Carter had peanuts.  At 85, he’s still kick’in around, but staying out of trouble.  Age has a way of doing those sorts of things.  But the important fact is; he never took advantage of me, or anyone I personally know, and he’s ALWAYS treated me with kindness and respect.  Therefore, again, I take the high-road.  I prefer not to waste my time and energy in having negative thoughts and memories.  Does this mean I’m a “push-over?”  Not likely… ask anyone to whom I do business.  I’ve trained myself to see only the good in things and people.  I would have missed many good opportunities to improve myself… when listening to the 1000’s of sermons I’ve listened to, if I were to focus on the negative aspects of the sermon provider; rather than the positive aspects of their subject sermon. Train yourself to see only the good in things and people.  Don’t waste your time on ….negatives, or gossip.  Phillppians 4:8-9 – Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. …Blessings… cjlb…6.18.14
