Traffic Options… stop signs, caution lights, deer crossing, slow, children playing, caution sign, traffic delay, detour, closed due to weather, traffic circles, exit ramp, speed bumps, congested area a head, on ramp, red-light ahead, no-passing, hospital ahead, signal ahead, and delays ahead. Just think…. all these various traffic options are available to the driver, to assist the driver in maneuvering safely through traffic, on a daily basis.
We also can apply these same traffic aides, or CAUTION-SIGNS, to our everyday lives… career, social, family, and even our spiritual lives. There are all kinds of events and congested areas in each of the segments in our life. We need to STOP and smell the roses of life. We need to be very CAUTIOUS in our decision making process. And, when we cross paths with the DEARS in our life, we need to SLOW down and PLAY with them. Because, there are always unexpected DELAYS, and DETOURS that effect are plans, as too often, the WEATHER, and heavy TRAFFIC CIRCLES, affect us when EXITING life’s twist, turns, and BUMPS in the road.
WE must pay attention for the sudden RED-LIGHTS-AHEAD, so that we don’t miss that important turn. And, if we’re not careful, life will PASS us by, and we might suddenly find ourselves in the HOSPITAL ahead. These precautionary SIGNALS-AHEAD, should prepare us for a safe trip through the DELAYS lying ahead.
Even though these caution signs are spotted throughout our journey through life, for some of us, we too-often, are still unprepared for God’s call. Matthew 25:13 – Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour. 1 Peter 3:15 – But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.
Prophecies, or CAUTION SIGNS, are placed in the Bible for a reason. Let us not be held accountable for ignoring them. WARNING-SIGNS are given to help us draw near to Him for protection before the coming Apocalypse and Armageddon. 1 Thessalonians 5:4-6, 9 – “But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day (the ‘Rapture’ and the coming ‘Apocalypse’) should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober . . . For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
