“…We don’t have to wait for Sunday, or some other Holyday to count our blessings….”

20131010_083608HOLYDAYS vs. Holiday’s:  This is like choosing between good and better; or super and fabulous; or beautiful and absolutely gorgeous. …maybe not good analogies, but you get the point.  Holidays are generally thought of as being days off from work. The type of holiday is not that important.  Christmas and Thanksgiving might carry a little bit more weight, but typically, all we think about is TIME-OFF from reality. …and that’s good… right?  But the fact is; a Holyday can be both…a Holyday and a Holiday.  Sundays are a day off, but also, a day with God, and the same with Christmas and Easter.  These are days off from the grind of everyday life, and hopefully a day with God, coupled with the particular meaning of the holyday and holiday.  We can also, be thankful to God…”on EVERYDAY, for everyday. ”  We don’t have to wait for Sunday, or some other Holyday to count our blessings.  Holydays are unique, because they’re movable feasts; meaning Christmas can be celebrated on any day of the week.  But if Christmas is celebrated during your vacation week, then you kinda lose out on something… it seems. A good thing is, though, we can celebrate Holydays EVERYDAY.  We don’t have to wait until Christmas to recognize Christ’s birth.  We CAN, if we choose, Celebrate His birthday 365 days a year.  Same with Easter as well.  As “believers,” we are restricted only by man’s law…not God’s law.  I LOVE Holydays, Holidays, and EVERYDAY.  It’s great to be alive!  It’s great to live in the land of the FREE and the home of the brave; but…. don’t get too comfortable…we are losing bits of our freedom everyday.  Wake-up America… Vote the RASCALS out.   Isaiah 66:23  “And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.  Blessings… cjlb …12/01/13
