“…Which do you prefer…Inside the box, or Outside the box?”

THINK? INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE BOX.  Which is more important to the company owners?  Which do you prefer?  For me…I prefer ISTB, and here’s why:  When thinking OSTB, a business craze of the 50-60’s, is best used, when you bring in someone who is totally unfamiliar with your industry, and given all the facts of the situation, will come up with the appropriate solution.  He has this ability, because he’s not looking through the same sets of eyes and minds as the normal/regular sources.  He sees the solution more clearly.  Thinking ISTB is a forgotten option; and set aside by industry experts as being old-fashioned management.  It is not; because, given myself as an expert (of course); when I defend my solution to an issue; there would be no-one better equipped than me.  The fact that I would know all the potential solutions relative to the given issue, gives me, the ISTB guy, the advantage.  The OSTB guy, while unfamiliar with the issues; would have to have everything explained (and, how well so), so he can develop the solutions; thus, giving him the disadvantage.  This example, btw, is why it’s so much easier, I believe, to resolve issues from within the box; as the Bible says in 1Thess 5:21Examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.  And then, Jesus said, in John 17:17 – Sanctify them through truth. Your Word is truth. …Blessings…cjlb…9/10/13
